I need some legal advice. My name is Lori and I am a 37 year old female. I live in my own apartment. Recently, my parents searched my apartment while I was on vacation and found something in my apartment that they apparently didn't like so they harassed me but didn't actually tell me what they found. I went into a depression and now I am taking an antidepressant (geodon) and was forced into therapy sessions by them (I recently left these sessions because I have no clue why I'm there -- I did nothing wrong. I should have a right to live my own life the way I want). My question is this: Do my parents have the right to force my into therapy for something they disapprove of or are they stepping way out of bounds? As a victim, I must have some rights? Can anyone help me? :(

You stated your age so you are certainly aware of the fact you are above 18. Your parents have absolutely no rights over you. Change your locks and tell them to understand their place in your life.

Maybe you can explain how they 'forced' you into therapy?
