I was in the hospital for surgery Jan 10th.
I was admitted, then i was given someone elses medicene.
Then i was put to sleep without my permission, was suppose to get spinal.
Then when i woke up in the night my leg machine was unplugged and my oxgen mask uas under my bed.
Then i was taken off my cath and iv, then i started vomiting and was told on 3 diffrent times i would get through it fine, i was not given my pain pills, they were promised then i would never see the nurse again, i had to cry to get taken care of.
then the hospital wanted to meet me so last night i met with them. they were like it really didnt effect you when your oxygen was under our bed beouse you were breathing was ok.
it was ok that my legs were unplugged becouse ishould be happy they worked part of the time.it was ok they put me to sleep becouse it ddnt hurt me.
they want me to come back friday a week from today to WORK it out. do need a lawyer? how should i handle this terrible treatment?

Get a lawyer. Do not discuss this with the hospital again until you have retained an attorney, or been advised by one.

SJS is correct get a lawyer, but I have a question.
Was there ANYBODY else there with you while all this was going on? A family member, or friend? Someone that could have questioned when it was all going on????
Maybe I am an overprotective person, but my boyfriend is in the hospital dying of cancer as I write (ps I'm at work). And I can tell you that when I go up to see him tonight, I check him over, head to toe and I can tell you if they have bathed him, changed his dressings, changed his IV tubing...etc. And if they have/havenot I want to know why/whynot.
Maybe that's just me...
