What is the name of your state? Tennessee

Well...I''m surprised!

The other day, NES kept calling over and over again even when I answered the phone and talked to them. Typically they call once a day, and sometimes 2 or 3 times in one day. This particular day they called 10 times and the day wasn't over yet!

So, one of the agents actually got me on the phone to a manager, after I used the word harassment. The manager took me off the call list after asking if I'm unable to pay! They will only be contacting me by mail now.

NES has been the worst one for me using all sorts of "techniques" and beng very persistent. I'm unable to pay. 9 months. Often NES threatens lawsuits going out the next morning.

The other day, I think they were just having a glitch with their computer system. The first 7 calls came in a period of 2 hours and included them hanging up on me (after confirming who I was but nothing more) 4 times.

The highest $$ amount debt I owe on, contacts me the least. The smaller debts that were given to NES get called one to three times a day.

Whups.... I must have had a brain cramp last night-- up too late !

NES here is the electric company.. not a collection agency.. duuuhhh

I do know who you're talkng about though.. and I've heard of similar tactics. No collection agency wants to hear 'I can't pay'.. but that many calls, and the hang ups when you answered, would be a violation of the FDCPA for harrassment.
