What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT

In CT, car assessments are done for property tax (not excise but a true property tax) purpose. They are supposed to be fair market assessments.

But the assessors use the NADA book, for a clean car (like excellent w/KBB).

Yet NADA has published that 85% of cars are below clean value (no inspections of cars are done...its automatic, right from the nada book to your assessment).

How can it be that the assessor can use a book known to give high values...especially when I gave my assessor an affidavit showing damage to my car. The assessor ignored it, did not consider it, did not review it, but just used the NADA book for every car.

Is this violative of my civil rights ... now I have the burden of proof because the assessor did not do the assessment correctly.
