In light of what has been taking place throughout this entire forum lately, I thought I would share some very important information everyone may want to read before becoming involved in the current "debate" between certain members and/or moderators of this board.

As of January 5, 2006 it is a federal crime to "annoy" someone via the internet without stating your TRUE identity. In the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act, H.R.3402, section 113, titled "Preventing Cyberstalking." Rewrites existing telephone harassment law to prohibit anyone from using the Internet "without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy."

As to whether this new law will hold up in court is yet to be seen.
