What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Idaho

Idaho is a right to work state. Is it legal for a company to offer it's employees their own (non-international) union to which they pay dues but keep the money entirely local for their use only. The company will then volunteer to match their dues and also provide them with representation in all management meetings.

Having a union formed in the companies pocket can be self defeating. However, it can open the door to a vote to become members of another national union.

so, you are saying a company rep would be setting on both sides of the negotiating table? Sounds like a big screwing to me. Conflict of interest comes to mind.
