Oklahoma

Mother is 79 years old.
Daughter is 41 years old.
Daughter's daughter which is granddaughter to mother is 18 years old.
Granddaughters baby which is great granddaughter to mother is 1 year old.
Daughter’s son who is grandson of mother is 20 years old.

Mother who is 79 years old has an average monthly income of $4,700. It might be more or less than that because I just gather it was this much from conversations with her son over the past couple of weeks.

All these people live with her. They belong on Jerry Springer. The place is totally unfit to live in.

Recently DHS was called on the Granddaughter and Great Grandbaby. They did a hair test for drugs and she was majorly hot. She is still under supervision.

The Mother has a son that lives out of state. She asked him to come and help her because two years ago she filed bankrupts and had not been making her payments due to taking care of all the lazy people living with her.

The son got her property sold and helped restore his mother’s relationship with her attorney. From my understanding the attorney and the son presented to mother to give the son POA and she refused. The attorney informed her if she abused paying her bills and bankrupts payment, he would get a court appointed guardian over her. I have talked to her and she is in total denial that this will ever happen to her.

Her son left town and told her not to ever contact him again for help. I think a lot of his problem was his mother has to do with her not saying no to his sister and her kids and so on and so on. They all gang up on him and his mother plays the victim and he is just frustrated and sick of the whole thing.

Anyway, they all live next door to us and we have always stayed out of it because they lived next door. They are supposed to be moving out in the next couple of weeks (new owner has given them several weeks to get all their trash out of here). They are all in panic because they have no where to go.

Something needs to be done here. Since they are moving out I would like to step in and tell all I know. This woman needs help. I use to think it was the kids, but I am now convinced it is the mother's sickness and she is what enables these kids to be lazy, drug addicts, and bums.

Does anyone have any suggestions? My concern is that they have been turned into DHS over the years and nothing has ever been done.

Is there anyway I can go to a higher authority and get something done?

Unless you have proof that grandmother (79 year-old) is being abused or the children (et. al) are taking advantage of her due to illness, you are a stranger and it's not your business.

Very Troubling Situation

Oklahoma

Would the fact that the baby is living in a home that is totally filth. The baby has gotten into the great grandmother's medicine several times even to the point have to go to the hospital and have her stomach pumped.

I personally have witnessed a lot of fightening and one time went running over there because the daughter was yelling at her mother (79 yr old) and was out in the yard down on all fours barking like a dog.

We live on a very busy street. All the home are very nice with clean yards except for this neighbor with all the people living off of her.

There are people coming and going at all hours of the day and night.

You might not believe me but I am telling you the house is filthy inside and out and the baby is beginning to look really bad.

Don't these things consitute as these people needing help?

For whatever reason, DHS has not removed anyone. All you can do is make another call to Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services when you have WITNESSED abuse.

This elderly lady has least one family member who does care. You do not know whether or not any further action has or is being taken.
