I am not sure on your states laws, but when I requested non-identifing info, in 1989, I found out things like:
-what my bio mom was alergic too.
-a short summary of her family life (she was a minor)
-her age at the time of birth
-reasons for the adoption
-how tall she was
-what nationality both parents are
You are entitled to know any and everything that is in that record/file except who she is.
I found out that my biological mother was there at the agency to find out the same things about me four years prior, and always left updated addresses, still, I was not given this information. I was told by the agency that I would have to take it to court. I did eventually find out the information on who she was, but by other means.
Good luck to you!
