What is the name of your state? Texas.

I purchased a home through owner financing.........however, I am listed on the certificate of ownership as the owner. The lady I had a written contract with sold her interest to a Finance Corporation. My payments have increased due to the Corporation holding money in an escrow account for taxes, which were not before the transfer. Since I am listed as the owner as far as Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs is concerned and they don't have a mortgage lien listed on my mobile home, do I have to continue paying the Finance Corporation or do I own it? They are'nt listed anywhere as the mortgage lien holder. Please help........I would like to get out from under this single-wide mobile home and into a real house, but this is blocking the way.

You need a Texas attorney here.

But let me ask:

You have a trailer.

The trailer had a lien on it from the prior owner.

You gave the woman some money for the trailer.

You do not have a clear title to the trailer.

The people with the lien want some money.

Is this correct?
