What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Michigan

In a nutshell, went to a movie theatre and parked on this sidestreet right in front of the theatre (it's not really a main street and not a subdivison street, i'm not sure what it is legally considered). Anyrate, I parked behind a big truck (not a semi, something more like a UHaul), but there was a no parking sign there. The sign was blocked from my view by the truck, so I did not see it. I expect that I'll still end up paying the fine, but just in case:

1) Do other vehicles blocking a sign constitute this as not being my fault?
2) If not, has anyone had any luck with the judge dismissing a case in this situation?
3) What type of things are considered "not my fault" (ie, foliage blocking the sign, the sign being covered in snow, the sign on a tilt or faded out, etc)? I ask this because there is a big big tree by the sign, not covering it really but obscuring it slightly.

Thanks!

1. No.

2. No. Of course, I've never received a parking ticket.

3. The only positive defense is the lack of a no parking sign. Everything else is purely judgmental.
