What is the name of your state? AL
I have a wierd situation. I signed a contract with a company to buy/install new gutters for home. I negotiated the best price they said they would offer down by about $600. The salesman who came to my home didn't seem to want to go with it and kept calling his boss. In the end they accepted it but he said he wasn't making hardly anything on this deal, maybe $20 he said. They were supposed to come back in three weeks to install. The salesman wrote all of this on his contract plus other extras I negotiated. They didn't require any money down. I was to pay in full on completion. Problem is I have not seen or heard from them since date contract was signed. I haven't been able to contact them. I am beginning to wonder if the deal was as good as he said so they decided to just drop it since they weren't making enough on it. If I wanted to pursue this, what would my next step be?? Thanks

Thanks for your reply.
Actually I would like to have the work completed. Do you think that it would be a mistake to try to force specific performance from this company? I wouldn't be able to get this price elsewhere, and they didn't have to accept.

Also, would they be able to come back to me later (like months later) if I got another company and sue me or something else because they have a signed contract with me?

Why would you want to even think about doing

business with these people? Even if you could force them to perform the work, do you really think they will do a good job? Or even finish the job? Get another bid and go with another company.
