What is the name of your state?California
I’m asking this for a friend of mine, he’s been married 4 1/2 years but move out of the house because his wife refused to get vaccinated for Covid. She had her nephews and their friends over all the time and the partying would go on for 2 or 3 days. They also refuse to get vaccinated. His wife, her nephews and their friends took no safety precautions. She just died a horrible death from Covid, both of her nephews tested positive for Covid when she was admitted to the hospital but they had no symptoms. Wife has a house, no community property. She left no Will.
My question is will the husband be held responsible for credit card debt? The cards were in her name only, he never used them. None of the purchases were for his benefit.
