What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?Iowa

Individual works for a friend who owns a S Corp. Friend has several contracts to provide future services to clients, but has not begun work on any of the contracts. Friend is in process of filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy for the S Corp.

Individual would like to start his own business and "acquire" the friend's "future services" contracts. What is the best way to approach this situation?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
