What is the name of your state? NH..
MY husbands ex is not cashing the child support checks, and when my husband calls her she lies and says she has. There isnt much he can say because there are no legal papers regarding the child support/custody. He pays because he knows its the right thing to do for his daughter. I do not want to give this woman cash to ease our problems with the check cashing because I want a receipt of payment. She will hold checks for months at a time, just to be spiteful. I get charged per transaction every month after 5 checks, so when she holds them til the next month I get charged and she knows it. We dont know what action to take because we are afraid she will not let him see his daughter. Any advice?

Send her certified checks.
That wouldn't necessarily be proof of payment. A receipt showing that a certified check or money order was purchased
still doesn't prove that mom actually RECEIVED the money. A friend of mine hauled her ex back to court for failure to pay child support and was quite surprised when he produced money order receipts for each and every court ordered payment. He would go buy a postal MO each month for the amount of support that was ordered and then turned right around and deposited the MO's into his bank account.

Also, sent them with return receipt requested. That way you will have both proof that the payment was made (w/ cert check or money order) AND proof that they were mailed.

That would be great to send them so that she has to sign for them, one time a check of ours got lost over there at her house, she lives with 5 children, she said she never received it but yet it never made its way back to our home either. So at least I'll be protected 2 ways that way. Thank you again

Dad should go get a court order for support and pay through CSEA. Of course then he would have to worry about the apternity fraud you brought up in another post.
