What is the name of your state? California
I have read on these forums that in order for your employer to change your pay, the only thing they need to do is inform you of this change. My question is, what constitutes informing you of a pay change? Say that your pay was cut in half, with no notice. I kept receiving this reduced pay for a year, still with no notice. Would I have the right to sue them for the back pay for the last year? Or would the fact that my paycheck was reduced constitute notice, and I could only sue them for the month before I received my next paycheck? Also, would it be contingent upon me to prove that they had given me no notice? Seems like it would be awfully hard to prove that... Thanks.
