What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

An amateur artist friend has sculpted a bust of a celebrity-athlete. The bust is realistic, identifiable, and will be cast in bronze. Is it legal to sell this bust?

Thanks.

You would have to verify whether the person in question owns publicity rights to their image and own person. If they do own such rights, they can control the use of their image, including statues.

And this is extremely extremely likely the case.
