What is the name of your state?
I just found out that I had a default judgement entered against me two years ago in VA. I spoke with the District Clerk where it was entered and she is sending me the file. I KNOW that I was not served with this. The CA that filed the judgement had an address where I could've been reached (it was not in VA). Is there any way to reverse this? Weren't they supposed to file in the state/county were I reside?
I called the CA to find out what this was from. He said that it was from a medical bill and blah insurance didn't cover it. I told him that I didn't have that insurance at that time so that couldn't be right. Then he got all upset, wouldn't even give me his address. He told me I had to speak to their attorney from now on and gave me this attorney's name, but refused to give me an address or phone number to reach him. So even if I wanted to pay these people, I couldn't....at least until I get the file from the courthouse with their address on it.
Crazy people.....
