RECENTLY MY EMPLOYER HAS REQUIRED THAT I CARRY A PAGER ON WEEKENDS, THE PROBLEM IS THAT I AM BEING REQUIRED TO STAY WITHIN AN HOURS RADIUS, AND I AM NOT BEING PAID TO DO SO. MY QUESTION, "IS THIS LEGAL IN NEVADA?" MY EMPLOYER HAS ALSO NEGLECTED TO GIVE ME ANY OF THESE REQUIREMENTS IN WRITING AND NOTHING WAS SIGNED BY ME OR ANYONE ELSE.

I don't know the laws of Nevada, so I can't say for sure about that state. In general though, if you are a non-exempt employee, the employer must pay you for being on call. This would also apply to your voluntarily restricting your weekend movements. You should contact a labor law attorney near you for the best advice. You can find one at attorneypages.com.
