undefinedWhat is the name of your state? Texas

I was working as a salaried employee for a specialty retailer. I was given the option to resign or fear termination from my job. This happened the day after Labor Day around noon. This is what my question is: Making this happen the day after a holiday that early in the day had to have been a decision made prior. I was let to work the entire holiday weekend and let go afterward. As an exempt employee I received paid holidays for the six major federal holidays. I worked Sunday and Labor Day and my last day was Tuesday. Is it possible for me to seek payment for my holiday? The pay for it is supposed to be automatic if you work only four days in the work week- I worked three. Please advise.

You are only entitled to be paid for the days you actually work. Nothing in Federal law or Texas law (or, for that matter, the law of any state except for a limited law in MA) requires any employee to receive holiday pay regardless of whether they are exempt or non-exempt.

Based SOLELY on the information in your post, you have no legal entitlement to any holiday pay.
