i live in san diego, california. i recently filled out an application online for a credit card that included some balance transfers. after i submitted the application i changed my mind and called the company immediately to cancel my application. i was told that the account would be canceled per my request and no transfers would take affect. the company went ahead and made the transfers even though they told me my account was closed. they then refused to reverse these tranfers. did they have the authority to do the transfers even though i told them four differnt times not to? what can i do about this situation?
