Can anyone give me a link to the site for Oregon where I would find out,

Questions for Ladynred or Bigun

Oregon

Could you guys tell me perhaps, what the advantages are to having this judgment against me vacated since it has been discharged?

Will it make a big difference in my credit?

Thanks :)

Yes, it could. As long as the judgment sits there in the civil court showing up as unpaid, it CAN stay on your credit reports. It also looks like you still owe it because the BK does NOT get reported on the judgment's tradeline. Its also possible that at some later date a creditor will buy the defunct judgment, not know you filed BK on it, and will try to enforce collection on it.

It IS to your advantage to get the thing vacated. Once that's done, wait 30 days and dispute it with the credit bureaus, it should come off.

Ladyred?

Would I be able to get it vacated myself or do you think I would need to hire an attorney?

If I do need an attorney, my bankruptcy attorney was good, do you know if they normally have experience in this?

Thanks for your time.

You do not HAVE to have an attorney to get a judgment vacated, that's up to you. If you PM me with your email address, I can send you a PDF file with lots of info in it on how to vacate a judgment.
