Can an Orthodontist tell me he will not treat my child because he feels he is not following instructions. My son has had alot of Brackets replaced. He is in sports and is hard on the braces.
I signed a letter originally that states treatment time of 2 years and says "We may terminate treatment earlier if their is a lack of coorporation, a lack of compliance with instructions or a lack of payment on the account."
I am paid in full and twice they have tried to sell me added appliances.
I am not stating my son is not hard on the brackets but there is no mention in the letter on how many brackets are TOO many and no listing of fees for extra brackets placed on. ( I was told $35.00 per bracket at last visit.)
My son feels like he will be in trouble and thrown out because of the comments made in front of him and does not even want to tell me when a bracket breaks.
I have not missed appointments and take him every 6 months for dentist cleanings etc. which was listed in the letter I signed also.
I have completed two other ortho treatments with no problems.
I want to complete treatment.
