I have checked into some of these kind of retreat programs and they ask for 20,000 to 30,000 dollars for 12 weeks and they tell you to hold fund raisers to get the money to enroll the kids. How is that helping? Insurance doesn't cover that. She has gone to church and she enjoyed it but then her friends influenced her back to their fold. She will not break the ties with these so-called friends and of course as I have stated what I say has absolutely no influence on her at all.

Your going to have to force her. I'm sure it's going to be tough and hard, but if you love her you'll do whatever you can. She's 15 in three years she'll be and adult, if she continues to walk the road she has been, she could end up in a lot more trouble.
Here are some sites I have found, hopefully they will be able to help you.

Well thank you for the information. I have been reading up on these websites. It is still very expensive. Considerably. Considering I have limited power of attorney over what I can and cannot do legally it bears further consideration.

I have a teenage daughter whom I gave up for adoption 5 years ago. last year she came back into my home with a limited Power of attorney so I could get her in school and get her medical attention. She has ran away from home several times, has had four myra reports filed on her and has been caught shoplifting twice. Both times costing me money. Since I have not legally adopted her back, what is my solution? She wants to leave here. She does not want to be here at all and has expressed this many times. She is on drugs and has had several sexual encounters. She is 15 yrs old. She came back to live with me after her adoptive father could not take her anymore she ran away from him 9 times and was caught doing drugs and having sex with 2 boys in the house. She has been in counselling with several different counsellors in the last 8 yrs and is also failing in school, that is when she chooses to attend. Please help!!!!!!!!!1
Why did you give her up for adoption 5 years ago?

She was out of control then and I thought that her being with my ex-husband and her brothers, because he was raising them very well, would be better for her. I was trying to give her a better upbringing because all we ever did was argue and fight and she was always in trouble. Counsellors suggested that she needed something different and that was what they suggested. When she got there she was good for 2 yrs then started acting up there until finally he couldn't take it anymore. She ran away from him nine times and if you read any of the other posts you will see the other things she got into trouble for.

Why not ask your ex-husband to help pay, it is his kid too. Or get a loan from the bank. Or call one of these places, explain your situation and see what they can work out for you.
Your kid is in trouble, this probably will not just go away. You said she liked going to church, that's a good sign, it means that she's not too far gone to seek help. But the longer you wait the worse it will get. I'm sure there is some place out there that will work with you to help get her some help.

My ex has severed his ties with her as far as he is concerned. Wants nothing more to do with her. He has done everything he is going to do. He is still legally obligated however because I have not legally adopted her back. Funding is a problem there also. Anyhow, I haven't seen nor spoken with my daughter now for two days. Once again she is gone with the wind and her friends seem to be covering for her. Cops have been notified now I once again play the waiting game.
