What is the name of your state? Conn.

I am from Conn. I worked sales for a company here until Jan. of this year when the owner of the company sent me an email informing me that he could no longer afford to pay me so he was switching my plan to 5% commission no salary or expenses. He then gave me my pink slip to collect also.He has payed me commission on my accounts until now. A large order came in and he owes me $15000. He is refusing to pay. Help please I may loose my home!

Call Connecticut's Department of Labor and see if they can help. State DOL's handle wage complaints and enforcement of State wage and hour laws. But since this is an unpaid commission issue rather than an unpaid wages situation, they may not be able to. If that's the case, then your only recourse would be to sue for the money you are owed.
