What is the name of your state?Texas
Is there a limitation on filing suit on a city that owes me money on my retirement? Back in 1977 I went to work for Orange,Texas.Orange participated in the Texas Municipal retirement system.New employees were put on probation for 6 months before they could join the system.Federal law has changed this practice. In 1990 employees effected by this were given time credit and money into their retirement. In 1990 I was not working for Orange and therefore not paid.It effects my retirement because straight from Orange I went to work for another Texas city that paticipates in the same retirement system.I am now retired because of the combination of both cities.
I did talk to them at city hall and they flat out said no.
