If someone buys a vehicle and puts it in wifes maiden name (they are not yet married), then a couple months later they marry, does it become both parties debt after marriage? We have a civil judgement against someone and he has been putting all assets in wifes maiden name. I was told that in a bankruptcy situation all debts become joint when married. Does the same apply to hiding the assets? Does this include any bank accounts? We would love to put a lien against the nice shiny truck.
