Paid rent but landlord says they never got it

I'm asking this question on behalf for my sister.She lives in a apartment complex and normally pays her rent online per the companies website.For Nov rent she wasn't able to log in so she paid her rent via check and hand it to the on site property manager assistant.Check was cash the following day per her bank,2 days later she gets a letter on her door stating they never got her Nov rent payment and now the property manager stating she never paid and has to pay online again. What can she do? She already paid Nov rent.

One would think providing a copy of the cancelled check would be sufficient.

She request a copy of the check from the bank ,both front and back.

Provide a copy to management ,keeping the one from the bank ( just in case of court action ).

Next time she pays to management directly ,she ask for a receipt right then and there.

If she can get online she may be able to set up an online account where she can pull up the payment and print it out for proof.

Does she receive paper Bank statements ? That would show the payment .
