What is the name of your state? KANSAS

The mother and father are not married. They have 1 year old triplets. The mother would like to move back to Iowa with the triplets and without boyfriend. Since the mom and dad of the triplets are not married, does she need permission from the courts to move out of state?

Thank you.

She does not need permission to leave if there are no court orders. However, if she leaves, dad does have the option to file for paternity/custody/visitation in Kansas and attempt to force her to return the children to Kansas. Therefore, its better to have either dad's agreement (in writing) or the approval of the courts.
