Hi!
I recently received a parking violation at my college for parking backwards in a head-in stall. Unfortunately, this was my first time parking this way, which I did not know was taboo from campus. The schools do need money, and I get that, which is why I pay my fees. Getting dinged for an infraction that I didn't know existed, doesn't matter in the city and county I live in (at least not that I know of), and hurt no-one (I didn't park this way during peak rush our at school where I was inconveniencing people), is baffling.
Is there any way for me to contest this ticket?
The violation is marked as SOCCCD 412 - Parked Backwards in Head-In Stall, which I am assuming is a South Orange County Community College District infraction and not a city or state infraction.
