I have green card and travel document. The passport of the country I have asylum from has expired. So I don't any passport on hand. I'm planing to travel to where I need a passport (can't use travel document). Since I'm expecting my American passport only in 2 years I was thinking of renewing my original passport. But because I have an asylum I'm afraid it will come up on my citizenship interview in US and won't work in farvor. My question is will renewal of my passport effect my naturalization process? Thank you!
