Pay Check Delayed because of holiday

Every time a holiday falls on a Monday my employer holds our checks for an extra day. Instead of getting it on the following Thursday after the pay period they make us wait until Friday. Is it legal for them to do that?

Not a lot of states have this requirement but Arizona does. See here:

After looking that over I just have one more question. Technically the pay day is not falling on the holiday. The pay period ends on Saturday. They calculate it at store level on Sunday and send it to the office on Monday. Since the office was closed on Monday (even though the stores were open) because of Christmas on Sunday, everything got delayed a day including pay day. Still illegal?
