What is the name of your state?GA

I would like to know if someone has overstayed their visa for a period of approximately 3 years - what is the penalty that is imposed if they decide to leave the US and then decides later to return? Is it that they have to wait out a specific period of time ? If so, how long and how they go about reentering after that time period has passed? Thank you... :rolleyes:

Barred from re-entry up to 10 years or for life.
