I was told that it was illegal to report a business credit card debt on my consumer credit report. I purchased a home and started experiencing money problems. When I went past due, one of the creditors, Chase, reported my delinquency to all three credit bureaus. Until now, this credit card account/debt was never reported. Is this legal? Also, any opinions on how to negotiate with the creditor to remove it from my consumer cbr if I pay balance in full.
