I am a photographer in California and I was working with a model to make a 2012 calendar, we had 2 photo shoots which included videos and she paid for it all.
Unfortunately I forgot to get a release form signature from her and now she tells me she don't want the calendar to be made anyway. can she do that? can she use the pictures her self?
PS there is no nude photos.

Were there any written agreements signed at all?

If nothing was signed by either of you, and if this was not an employer/employee relationship, you would retain the copyrights in all of the photos you took and you would retain the copyright in the video you shot. However, the model would retain all rights to her image.

Without a signed release or any signed agreement, you cannot use the photos or the video for a commercial purpose and she cannot use the photos or video for a commercial purpose. The most either of you can do with the photos or video is keep them for your own personal use.
