I recently was graded in a graduate course on my physical appearance. Appearance is highly subjective and lowered my grade as a result. (please let me state, I was dressed very nicely just not in a business suit like my professor wanted). Is this legal? It seems odd that I can be accepted into an academic program regardless of my looks but my academic grade can be affected by a professor's personal opinion of what is acceptable and unacceptable. Thanks.
