What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? SC

We filed a complaint in the Summary Court (small claims) and the defendant requested a Jury Trial.

The Court Clerk said that she will schedule a phone conference where the defendant and plaintiff will pick the jury. Each party will be given a list of 50 names (ahead of time) with age, sex and race. Out of the 50 names called at random we will pick 6 Jurors and 9 alternates. Each party has the right to strike a certain amount. Then we will set a date for the trial.

We will have the list of names before the conference but still how do you prepare? Is there a strategy? Has anyone had any experience with this type of jury selection? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
