My husband has hit me in the past he said he had chnaged but i came back. he has not hit me but i feel he is Trying to prove his power over me and he verbally abuses me when he is man is there anything i can do legally

i want to divorce him but we live with his parents and i can't leave with out my daughter i don't know how to get the police involved if he has not it me lately

Verbal abuse is just as bad as physical, and the scars stay for longer. Talk to a lwer, explain the entire situation, and file for divorce.

Just because you live with his parents doesn't mean they have the right to keep your child from you. You both have equal rights to that child so long as you are married.

Listen to me and listen good...if he has hit you even once, that is ENOUGH to leave him. You said he verbally abuses you? That is still abuse...and no woman on God's green earth should tolerate any form of abuse!!!!!! If he has hit you in the past, he will do it again one day, only this time...you may not walk away so easily. You owe it to your child and yourself to get out of this situation ASAP....you said you want to divorce him, go for it! I'm sorry if I sound harsh...I'm only telling you this for your own good and for the good of your child. The abuse will not stop...so you must leave that house immediately. Go to the police and file a complaint against your husband and get an order of protection restraining order. Let them know you fear this man and fear for the safety of your child.
