PLease Help can they take my truck after the chapter 7 is over ?

Can Any one tell me if they can take my semi truck away from me after I filed chapter7? I filed chapter 7 then reafirmed the semi truck and payed one payment on it . Then I tried to give it back and the lawyer said they had to file papers to get the truck back . It was to late to just give it back . So now its been over a year since all this and they are wanting the truck back now . Is it true that its my truck after its been 90 days if they didn't come get it when they was supose to . Can they still get the truck ? Im wondering what to do I just don't want to give them the truck back unless I really have to . Lydia

No its not true, yes they can come take the truck !

You reaffirmed on the truck, that means you promised you would continue to pay for that truck under the terms of your loan contract. If you stop paying, you HAVE to give up the truck, that's all there is to it. It does not belong to you, they hold the title and the lien and you have not paid for it. They are perfectly within their rights to repo the semi .. and they are not under any time limit to come get it.
