My husband and his ex split up a while ago and he moved away from her. She placed all his property in storage after being told to throw it out because it was invaluable.
Even though his name was not on the storage contract she sued him for money due on storage and was awarded one half the money to date at the judgement. He has yet to get his property back although we were under the impression that his ex would pay the remaining half of the storage fees and get the property out of storage because they both have belongings in there. She recently told him that she used the money awarded to her by the court to make car payments on her new car and did not have the money for storage. She asked my husband fo an additional $350.00 which we can not afford at the time. I believe she should live up to her end and pay her share. Can we sue her for our money back or take charges of criminal larceny for the money or property owed him? Thank you for any help you can give.
