Due to the fact that I have been a "citizen" all my life, and not had any dealings with our court system, I had this really stupid notion that when there is a problem that the law needs to address, we do it in our courts. The outcome I thought was to be carried out and thus problem solved. I can now see that I spent many days in court, and "mucho" money only to have the supposed outcome finalized on paper only. Literally carrying out the courts decree has been a joke. As I posted before I was awarded alimony, a lump sum split on our properties, and he was to have carried a life insurance policy with me as the benny. He has not done one thing and all my attorney seems to do is negotiate. Why are we always back to square one. I feel like he is excempt from the law. Is there something I have to learn that I don't know? He has thumbed his nose at the court and it's kinda like, Oh well! I mentioned contempt of court to my attorney, I got no response. We talk, but get no where. All I want is peace, and what was awarded me in the divorce decree. The Judge that day said, and I quote, "Mr. Blank, do you understand all the points of the divorce? He answered, yes your Honor. The Judge reiterated, you can not come back to my court a year from now and change things. His reply, I understand your Honor. Verbiage!!!!!!!! Is there anyone who could possibly give me just suggestions. I would so appreciate any help you would be willing to lend.

You can file contempt of court yourself, you don't need your lawyer for that.
