What is the name of your state?California. My husband was POA when his mother was sick in the hospital. She has recently passed and we were wondering what happens with her debt. She has no will or real estate, but has a life insurance policy and bank accounts. Any help is appreciated. :)

First of all, your husband is no longer POA. The POA expired upon the death of his mother. Do the insurance policy AND bank account have a designated beneficiary?
