What is the name of your state? Illinois

My aunt lives in Illinois and wants both my cousin and myself to act as her Durable Power of Attorney(ies). She would like either one of us to be able to act with equal powers and/or possibly independent of each other. Can my aunt name each of us to act as her Durable Power of Attorney by using the word "OR" in her Durable Power of Attorney legal paper work?

Have your aunt go to an estate attorney to draft this document and review any other estate documents that she has or needs to establish. Your aunt also needs councel on the problems that can arise with more than one POA having authorization to act independently. She needs to make an informed decision regarding this.

I live in Oklahoma and am wondering about my mother who lives in Arkansas. I only live about 10 miles from her as we live on the line. But my brother persuaded her to sign a POA for him while he lived in OK and she was visiting there. He now has moved away to another distant state and will not relinquish this POA on his own. We have no idea what kind he has as he will not allow any of us to read it nor will he send mother a copy. My mother is not willing to cause problems with him by revoking the POA as he is her only son. But he is also unwilling for her to sign one for either of us girls so we have equal rights with him.
What concerns me is that I am the only child living near enough to take care of her needs. What will happen if she should fall or become unable to make choices suddenly and I have to take her to a hospital? My brother will not even allow her to tell us where he lives. We have no phone number or address for him.
Is there any way I can get some kind of help on this matter. I do not care about the monetary part of this in any way. I just want to be able to say, this is my mother, and I want her to be fed no matter what her condition. Or I do not want her to be taken off life support or the feeding tube removed and so forth.
Can you tell me where to get a Living WIll form for my mother to read and understand and sign? Woudl that be the answer??
THanks for anything you can do.
