Hey, this is something I've always wondered about. I know gambling in general is illegal in a state like PA (save the whole slot machine issue that's been brewing for a while). However, what exactly is the law concerning a "home game" or casual poker game in which a group of people play a tournament that has a buy-in with 100% of it contributing to the payouts of the pot for the winning participants. I keep reading about "small games of chance" in which the hosting party is attempting to make a profit, but the type of game I'm suggesting, though obviously involves chance as a factor, can also be considered a game of skill in which all of the money goes to the winners.

If anyone knows of a clearly worded law or ordinance in PA that addresses this, I'd greatly appreciate hearing about it. I've searched numerous times for something specific, but I've always come up empty-handed.
