What is the name of your state? NC Child living in CA

Have found that the mother of the child is stating and possibly claiming to the court no knowledge of the father's whereabouts. Wanted to know how to go about ensuring this information is not accepted as true. Father has filed for set visitation with the court in CA and has included current address information. Can the mother terminate parental rights without the father knowing simply by stating that she has no address for him???

Thank you so much!

If Dad has filed in CA, then I don't see how Mom could file for TPR afterward.

But many facts are missing.

info missing

thank you so much for your answer. I left out a lot of information due to being a legal stranger myself. I was just worried that if and when a motion to terminate was placed that the father would have no knowledge of it and therefore could not fight it. The father has been involved as much as he can with being on the other side of the country....and is trying to be more involved. He loves his son very much but has a hard time showing it. I basically just wanted to make sure that by his filing for set visitation that the court would have a record of his current mailing and contact info....and if they do now...then great. He just doesn't want to be left out of a decision about his child due to the mother's possible misleading.

thank you again!

Hmmm....if custody and child support are set, Dad would have needed to notify courts of his change of address.
