Possible Gender Discrimination?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California Hello, In Southern California, I saw this set up multiple times: a woman's bathroom and a gender neutral bathroom (formerly the men's bathroom) but no men's bathroom. This is quite annoying as when there's a line, women use both, but men can only use one and this particular place (where the photo was taken) has a lock on the gender neutral bathroom despite having a stall AND a urinal inside. I find this to be really annoying time-wise and additionally it's inherently unequal as women get access to both restrooms and men only get access to one that is shared and lockable. It's not just this one location either or this one business, I'm seeing this everywhere I go now: men's rooms being changed to gender neutral and women's remaining women's. I'm told this is in compliance with some new county law but I haven't been able to find anything on it. There is a new California law that talks about single use restrooms being labeled for gender neutrality but these aren't single use restrooms and even those that are single use for women are not being changed. Given the recent Federal Law requiring that baby changing stations be in place in both male and female bathrooms, it seems that Congress has made it implicitly clear that the bathrooms for both genders should be equal. What, if any, legal recourse is there?

What, if any, legal recourse is there?

As a practical matter, probably none.

At least not unless you want to pick one of those businesses that offends you and pay a lawyer $20,000 or more to litigate for you.

My advice: Some things in life you just have to accept and make the best of.
