What is the name of your state? Florida

can a homeowners association foreclose on a home for non payment of maintenance fees? We are talking about $1500. i was told that they can not and that the only person who can foreclose is a mortgage company. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

**A: H_E_L_L_O? Anyone home? Who is telling you these things and why are you listening to idiots Of course a HOA can file action to foreclose? Read your CC&R's.
And a mortgage company is not a person.
