What[ is the name ]of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon
Hello,
I bought a 1999 oldsmobile bravada less than 2 months ago. I paid 5,000$ cash for it. I had a mechanic check it out several times. Apparently, this mechanic got a kick back from the dealer, was turning off the codes for engine service lights and lying to me about the state the veh. was in. I started having all kinds of leaks , took it to another mechanic who found $3,500 worth of repair that needed to be done to make it safe and reliable. I called the dealer and he hung up on me. I have not even put 1,000 miles on this vehicle. I am taking care of my 86 year old mother and this veh. is our only transportation. I had budgeted in $5,000 and right now, I am riding a bicycle to work. I am not able to take us to doctor appointments, and I believe the dealer and the mechanic knew they were selling me something that was in very bad shape. Is there any legal recourse for me?
