I am from Texas. My sister passed away 5 months ago and named me as the executrix of her will. She left an estate valued at 1.3 million (before taxes) equally to her 2 children, in trust (I am also the trustee of the trusts). My sister's ex-husband is the father and legal guardian of the children. The 15 year old daughter is now 2 months pregnant and wants to keep the baby. My sister's ex-husband was providing health insurance, per the divorce decree, up until my sister's death. He stopped paying the premiums after her death - so there is no health insurance. My quesion is - who is legally responsible for paying the medical bills for mother and child (more correctly child and child), the guardian or the trust? Also, are there any legal ramifications for the 16 year old father of the baby?
