What is the name of your state? TN

I am looking for the code that says that a Person may defend themselves Pro se, but I can't find the exact code or rule. Anyone know where I can find it. Someone else told me that it is just general practice not covered under any rules...is that true?

You can do anything with knowledge that an attorney can do - it is your right as a US citizen, although with some situations it is not advisable. I don’t know of a code that says this.

My response:

Parties have the right to plead and conduct their own cases personally. [See 28 USCA § 1654]

This is TOTALLY off topic...but IAAL how on your keyboard do you get the little squiggly mark that indicates the code section? I am tired of doing citations improperly and would LOVE to know how to do that.

My response:

It's called a "section symbol". Press Ctrl-Alt-Del
