In Wood County TX, I am up for my early release consideration. I have read that others have simply completed the request with their probation officer without the need for hiring a lawyer to assist. But I have read that this may result in a delayed response of several months and that lawyer assistance will assure a quicker response and action.

Should there be forms for this available on the county probation website? Because I can not find any related info to assist me.

I also need to know IF I am denied and the denial does not state a future timeline to try and apply again.... IS THERE a legal time limit that I am eligible to reapply?

thank you for any help you can offer.

The answer to your question depends entirely on the people employed in each necessary position. You'll get into court faster or slower depending on the probation officer, clerk's, Judge, etc.. As with any legal process, having a professional attorney handling it makes everything run smoother and potentially faster. But there is really no way to answer your question.

If the early termination is denied there is no specific timeline on when you can reapply. You could literally come back the next day and try again if you wanted to but naturally you would want to get some feedback on the court on how long the Judge wants you to keep at it before he or she would consider another motion.
